Availability
Important note: This system has been on the market for a long time and is generally no longer available as a new unit. However, pre-owned units can be an attractive and cost-effective alternative for many applications, as the accuracy of the devices remains very high, comparable to newer systems. Of course, we continue to provide service for all system components and procure spare parts for repairs. Calibration services will also remain available for all systems.
Operating System
The only limitation: the system can unfortunately only be used up to Windows XP. The use of the installed 16-bit ISA slots under a 64-bit Windows 7 system is unfortunately not possible/compatible. In exceptional cases, Windows 7 can be started in a 32-bit mode, which restores compatibility with the 5529. However, this depends on the Windows version used and must be checked on a case-by-case basis.
Upgrade to 5530
There is the possibility to upgrade from 5529 to 5530. Not all components need to be replaced, for example the core component, the laser head, can continue to be used, as well as all optics, tripod and laser head cable. The USB box is replaced by the new USB modules (USB compensation module, USB axis module), and the sensors (as well as the sensor cables) are replaced with new ones.
